Mum Festival '08 Family Fun Weekend at Minor's Farm
(fees apply for most children's activities)

Special Happenings:
Mrs. Minor's Magnificent "MOO COW TRAIN"
"Daisy Pig's Putt Putt" - 9 hole Miniature Golf (fun for the entire family)
"The Daffiest Duck Races" - Old fashioned hand water pumps allow
 you to race your own duck from one end of a chute to the other! Fun for
all ages and learn how generations past had to get their water.
"John Deere Rocking Tractors" for the toddlers along
with "Rocking Horse Jamboree"
"Pig's Dig's" Gemstone Mining Adventure. A family fun experience of
sluicing and panning for gemstones. Takes you back to the olden days
 when panning for stones was a common event.

Pumpkin Picking (Free Hayrides)
 Lots of inflatable games for the kids
Trike riding on the oval race track
Climb aboard our 40 foot long train and the fire truck
 Farmer Mark's Amusing Maze
Haunted House- This is a frightfully fun experience for the young ones.
Cow Milking - Try your hands at milking a cow.
Airborne Adventure - This fun parachute ride for the young crowd is operated by Mrs. Minor's UCONN Dental School Students as fundraiser for Outreach Program to treat the underserved throughout Central and South America!
Over 18 types of pies, apple dumplings, cookies, hot caramel over apple slices, candy and caramel apples, cider slushies, and more!
 
Local Non-Profit Groups providing many types of food and beverages, etc.

12noon - Football Toss - Bob Montgomery, Bristol Sports Hall of Fame
12noon-3:30 pm -"Family Scarecrow Contest"- Imagine Nation Museum. Some clothes and accessories will be available; but participants are encouraged to bring their own. Prizes will be awarded. Meet Talulalbell the Scarecrow from Puttin On The Ritz for dancing and help constructiing your scarecrow (2pm-3:30pm)
1pm - 4pm - Wood Acres Horse Drawn Hayride
1pm - 4 pm - Chick the Magician - magic tricks & balloon characters
1pm - 4pm - Kite Making Workshop - make a kite & fly it
1pm - Storytime - Bristol Childrens Library

Pumpkin House - A walk - through narrated Halloween Story with life sized figures Carousel rides for kids - New England Carousel Museum
11 am - 4pm - Indian Rock Nature Center - turkeys, chicken, rabbit, reptiles,& amphibians, panning for gold, apple printing. Special programs, insect collecting on Sat. & Sun. @ 11 :30 using nets in the field, Birds of Prey Program with owls & hawks of Ct -Sat. & Sun.- 12:30, 1:30,2:30, & 3:30

12noon - 4pm - American Clock Museum - children's activities
12noon - 4pm - Imagine Nation Museum- Children's hands - on- activities & pumpkin decorating
12noon - 4pm - The Bristol Historical Society - gasoline hit n' miss engine from Tobacco Valley Fly Wheelers Club, corn shelter, and "dunking clown"- demonstrated by Randy Root
